Documentaire over Brothers in Arms in Amerika

Uitgever Ubisoft, ontwikkelaar Gearbox en de Amerikaanse tv-zender History Channel, zullen in samenwerking een documentaire maken die geïnspireerd is door de game Brothers in Arms. De game, die in maart dit jaar uitkwam, staat bekend om zijn authenticiteit, het meeslepende verhaal en de squad-based gameplay. De twee uur durende documentaire met de toepasselijke naam “Brothers in Arms” zal worden geproduceerd door Foglight Entertainment en zal worden uitgezonden op 19 december.

Tony Kee, vice president bij Ubisoft zei er het volgende over:

Ubisoft is very excited that The History Channel has chosen the Brothers In Arms video game to tell the amazing stories of the Greatest Generation. This collaboration between the television and video game industries brings these inspiring stories to life in ways that have never been done before.

Margaret Kim, regisseur bij de tv-zender meldde:

As one of the most authentic World War II video games ever made, Brothers In Arms creates the ideal setting on which to base a program for The History Channel. The heroic exploits of the 101st and 502nd will receive the attention they deserve in our two-hour special.

Ten slotte voegde Kolonel John Antal van het Gearbox team hier nog aan toe:

It is a tribute to the authenticity of our Brothers In Arms games, and the realism of our graphics, that the History Channel selected us to create this two-hour D-Day special.
