A week ago, in an interview with CVG, Crytek CEO Cevat Terli weighed the possibility of a TimeSplitters 4 Kickstarter revival, but was ultimately unsure if it was feasible. The pressure is on – as of yesterday, a new fan group is demanding a revival.

Facebook fan page ”100,000 Strong for TimeSplitters 4″ has been established recently and is quickly gaining steam via social networking. As of this writing this new campaign has 10,202 followers. From the Facebook page:

We are a group trying to convince Crytek to finish developing TimeSplitters 4! Even if it means doing a Kickstarter.

TimeSplitters series composer and former Free Radical (which morphed into Crytek UK) member Graeme Norgate has spoke of the movement, stating that he will create a victory theme song for the campaign if it breaks 100,000 followers. A Crytek artist also chimed in, saying he will contribute a character design for TimeSplitters 4 if the followers go over 1,000. He should get cracking, then.

TimeSplitters 4 had a rocky chance from the moment it was revealed to be in development in 2007. It wasn’t until September of last year that the game was indefinitely postponed. Perhaps this is just what the doctor ordered for this ailing franchise?
